Connecting People and Nature
The primary aim of the project is to create a large space for wildlife based on the traditional model of wood pasture.
The secondary aim of the project is to improve wellbeing by connecting people with nature.
The wildlife reserves are well served by statutory rights of way. We have also given permission until further notice for the use of certain routes which are signposted as permissive footpaths or permissive bridleways. The new permissives and statutory rights of way give access to 20km of routes and are shown on our access map.
Please note that Sandon Estate is private land and we do not intend to dedicate any of the land for public rights of way beyond those shown on the existing Definitive Map.
